Recall the news of Karlie Kloss shooting the Jean Paul Gaultier ad campaign? The first images from the campaign have finally surfaced and it’s nothing short of stunning! The supermodel in training poses for lighting genius Willy Vanderperre in an industrial Parisian setting, embodying the modern grunge luxury that is Jean Paul Gaultier. Karlie also covers W magazine this month! Clearly there’s no limits for this beauty.
Wild Wixson- Fashion’s sweetheart, Lindsey Wixson, fronts the Autumn/Winter 2012 Mulberry ad campaign for a second consecutive season! Styled by Ronnie Cooke-Newhouse, Lindsey poses behind Tim Walker’s lens for a wintry fantasy visual influenced by Where The Wild Things Are; resulting in yet another magical image from this duo. But who wore the furs better, Lindsey or the beasts?
Former Meisel exclusive Laura Kampman is one of many models to take to social networking to document her life and career, and easily a WLYK favorite. By following Laura’s Instagram, you’re in the know of where she is, who she’s working with, and who she hangs out with in her off time (side note: Dutch models Josefien Rodermans, Marte Mei Haaster, and Romee Strijd are commonly featured in her photos). Aside from her active Instagram account, Laura is on Twitter under the same user name. Be sure to follow Laura and her journey as a model on both Twitter and Instagram!
Saved by the Bell! - Photographer duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott photographed a plethor of models for the DSquared2 Fall campaign, including Bette Franke, Daphne Groeneveld, Frida Aasen, and varying male models. The girls are forced to channel their inner school girl while set in the middle of a classroom; a character that is all too familiar having walked the high school themed runway show. The twin brothers aren’t the first designers of the season to use their campaign as a spin off of their runway presentation, but they certainly deserve an A+ with this cast. Job well done, boys. We can’t wait to see more!
Jac & Liu - Since her runway debut in 2009, Monika ‘Jac’ Jagaciack has walked virtually every blue chip runway as well been the face of Calvin Klein, Dior, Dolce & Gabanna and most recently Chanel. She now graces us with her first, and overdue, Vogue cover! Posing in Calvin Klein next to the gorgeous Liu Wen for the July issue of Vogue China, and photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. Congrats to Jac, we’re sure this won’t be the last!
